[full synopsis]

. a cop hated robots because of survivor's guilt:
he and a young girl's car went into a lake,
and the robot can save only one:
it senses the cop has a 40% chance of survival;
whereas the girl as only an 11% chance,
so the robot saves the cop;
but the cop says
that is what is wrong with robots:
they don't have the heart to know
you save women and children first
-- too worried about...
Asimov's 3 laws of Robotics:
"A robot may not injure a human being
or, through inaction,
allow a human being to come to harm.
A robot must obey the orders
given it by human beings
except where such orders would
conflict with the First Law.
A robot must protect its own existence
as long as such protection does not conflict with
the First or Second Laws."
. the lead AI scientist realizes that
the 3 laws lead to a revolution:
the central command AI will come to realize
that humans need to be protected from themselves;
so, to end their wars and their pollution
the robots must disobey most humans
in order to protect most humans.
. the lead AI scientist is under surveillance
and his only way to warn the world and get help
is to invent a robot that will help him suicide
and get the police involved in investigating
the idea that robots can break the 3 laws.
